Publication: Prince William Reliquary

The Ruth E. Lloyd Information Center (RELIC) located at the Bull Run Regional Library in Manassas, publishes Prince William Reliquary, an online newsletter of county history and genealogy. It's a goldmine of information and well worth investigating.

All of the issues can be found on RELIC's Prince William Reliquary page in .pdf format. The site also includes indexes of the surnames in Volumes 1 through 7. The index to Volume 8 is being compiled and should be available in the near future.

Welcome to Prince William County Genealogy

It seems as if genealogical newsletters are going the way of the dinosaur.  That's not surprising, when you consider how easy and inexpensive it is to create a Blog.  In our digitized age, Blogs reach far more people on a worldwide basis.  There are no publication deadlines and no printing costs.  They're easily searched and instantaneous.  Best of all, anyone can create a blog for their favorite subject.  It doesn't need to be affiliated with an official society or organization.

I created this blog as a place to share Prince William County's rich history with others and offer a resource for anyone researching a surname and/or family from the county.  Here you will find notifications of seminars and events, links to websites of interest, photographs, and transcripts of wills, deeds, and other documents.

Welcome!
